87 ( +1 | -1 ) a great tactical gameduring the semester, I played a game in which I a carried out a very nice tactical combination. Of course, practically speaking, I spent way too much time and energy on the tactical position in question (at move 37) because I had a lot of calculus to do too, but I was really quite surprised by the depth of the tactics in this position and my ability to pull it off. I guess it also goes to show that if you understand a position better than your opponent, you should get the best out of it.
I don't know how to post the link to the game since I don't don't know the board number, but it is my only annotated game, so you can find it there.
I would really like to know what others think about the game and about my thoughts and analysis. Any suggestions based on this game on how I should improve my play is welcome. I would very much like to know if I missed something in my tactical analysis too.
20 ( +1 | -1 ) Well done...... to overcome Black's surprise shot. It just went to show, though, just how good your position had become to be able to sustain the loss of a piece. Interesting game! Cheers, Ion
