47 ( +1 | -1 ) It is based onthe fact that it uses Fritz v.3 and that managed to beat Kasparov in a blitz game. It has also had good success in a Tournament where it beat a number of GM's and actually obtained GM norm itself.
That being said, I can beat some chess computers upto around 2100, yet here a 1900 rated player seems tougher.
1500 on the computer seems to make stupid blunders that most OTB 1500 would see.
39 ( +1 | -1 ) comparison of ratingshere at gameknot players have the option to analyze games and see their future moves visually. in real chess you have to imagine the pieces and use your tactical skills. computer ratings are never perfect and the performance of an engine depends on the computers power, its memory, and any databases that the computer might have. that sort of explains the rating differences.
28 ( +1 | -1 ) ratings hereratings are generally too high here, especially the best players. i don't see why the ratings don't take your opponents rating into account more. My rating here is much better than at yahoo. That seems to have quite a good rating system
